“Share to your audience and your clients who you are.”
— Julie Greenham
When I say “show up being your authentic self in your business,” what does that make you think about?
Many people struggle with showing up authentically in their businesses, and many others aren’t quite sure what it means to do so. And yes — the term can be quite vague.
When you are being authentic, you are being your true self and working in integrity with who you are as a person: Do you practice what you preach? Do you sell or market in a way that is aligned with your values? Do you inject your personality into the way that you show up for your customers?
Showing up authentically has huge benefits in terms of building trust with your audience, creating more impact, and ultimately earning more revenue.
When you show your audience who you are and why you do what you do, you attract customers and clients who believe...
“You are not inadequate. You are not incompetent. And you are definitely not stuck!”
— Julie Greenham
Are you feeling stuck in your business? Is there something inside you that’s holding you back… and you can’t quite seem to shake it?
The feeling may come up when you’re trying to implement something new, or it could come up while you’re working toward a big goal. Generally, this feeling comes up during the process of breaking our larger actions down into smaller tasks.
This feeling of being stuck? It can derail us, make us lose our momentum, and even affect our motivation — no matter how important or exciting our goals are!
While all entrepreneurs can experience this at some point or another on their journey, creatives and perfectionists are especially vulnerable.
Through my coaching business, I’ve helped many of my clients work through this hurdle, and have come up with a...
Poor sleep affects our energy, productivity, emotions, motivation, how we learn, and the way we show up in our businesses and with the people that we care about.
But did you know you can take steps during the day to help you make the most of the energy you have — and actually rest better at night?
By learning how to optimize your energy levels and get better sleep, you increase your ability to concentrate, better regulate your emotions, and reduce your chances of burnout!
My guest for this episode is Paige Purvis, an integrative nutrition health coach and founder of Radiant Self. Paige helps her clients improve their sleep quality, achieve hormonal balance, and increase their energy. “I believe sleep is your superpower,” Paige says. “It’s so impactful to all areas of your life and also most of what you’re doing in the day is impactful to your sleep.”
While sleeping for just six hours is often seen...
“The way that I learn the most is by taking action.”
— Julie Greenham
This is the second part of a series where I talk about the missteps or wrong turns that I took when building my first business — and how the lessons I learned from them helped me grow and scale my current business more quickly.
If you haven’t yet listened to episode #50, I recommend that you check it out!
There isn’t a single entrepreneur out there who has built their business perfectly from the ground up. No matter your industry or the size of your business, you will make decisions that will slow your growth, set you back, or cost you money.
And that is completely okay.
For one thing, these mistakes do not define us or our businesses.
For another thing, they’re actually valuable opportunities for us to learn.
As I said in episode #50, the only real failure is giving up on your business because of a...
“Anyone who identifies as a woman has this sacred space that is filled with the shakti power. What I do is to really help women learn how to access that and how to trust it so that they can use it as a guiding force.”
— Carla Wainwright
My guest for this episode, Carla Wainwright, is a sexual empowerment coach and creatrix who helps women reconnect with the feminine energy, or shakti.
We’re not taught as girls and women to connect with our feminine energy of creation. As women living in a masculinized society, we are encouraged to conform to systems and ways of being that align with masculine energies and viewpoints.
Many of us do that very well, but as Carla says, “We really miss that element of connecting with our inner feminine wisdom and from the wisdom of the body. When we’re able to connect with that part of ourselves, it really allows our creativity to flow so much more freely… the...
“One focus and one thing at a time will get you much, much further.”
— Julie Greenham
Where have you taken a wrong turn in your entrepreneurial journey?
We’ve all taken a wrong turn (or half a dozen of them). These don’t have to be catastrophic wrong turns. Many of these are just minor detours or a shortcut that didn’t quite work out the way we thought it would.
As we work on building our businesses, we are always discovering new things that we would have done very differently if we could go back and live it all over again!
At the time of these wrong turns, we often view them as failures.
I don’t want to minimize or dismiss that feeling, because we often do feel quite bad about these wrong turns at the time.
But rather than failures, they’re actually very useful opportunities to learn and grow.
The only real failure is giving up on your business because of a...
“I always knew from the time I was little, honestly, that there was something in me that I was meant to bring into the world, and I followed that.”
— Cailen Ascher
What would your life look like if you had the power to choose your ideal schedule?
Cailen Ascher is a personal growth and business coach with a unique selling point. She’s managed to build a wildly successful business… with a 3-day work week.
Cailen set the goal of a 3-day work week in order to spend more time with her family and had no clue if her idea would actually work — but she knew she wanted to try. She started getting her first high-ticket clients in 2015, and was earning six figures a year by the next year.
Along the way, Cailen learned how to prioritize important activities, batch tasks, create intentional time boundaries, and identify areas where she could outsource.
“It’s just been this really cool...
